Excel Recruitment is seeking Kitchen Porters & Catering Assistants to join busy catering sites in Limerick City. The role supports kitchen and front-of-house operations, maintaining cleanliness and assisting with food service.

Ideal candidates have a positive attitude, teamwork, and flexible daytime/weekend availability; manual handling and HACCP training are an advantage and training provided if needed.

The successful candidate will support both kitchen and front-of-house operations, assisting with food service, maintaining cleanliness standards, and helping ensure the smooth running of daily catering activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high levels of cleanliness throughout the kitchen, dining, and service areas


• Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment


• Assist with food preparation and basic kitchen duties


• Serve food and beverages in a professional and friendly manner


• Replenish food counters and service areas as required


• Follow HACCP, food safety, and health & safety procedures at all times


• Dispose of waste appropriately and maintain a tidy working environment


• Support chefs and catering staff during busy service periods

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter, Catering Assistant, or in a similar role is desirable


• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices is an advantage


• Strong work ethic and positive attitude


• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment


• Excellent teamwork and communication skills


• Flexible availability, including daytime and weekend shifts
