Nove Restaurant in Malahide is seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter to join the kitchen team. You will support chefs, maintain hygiene, and help ensure service flows smoothly. Candidates should be willing to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays and take pride in cleanliness and safety standards.

The role offers an hourly rate with opportunities to progress within the kitchen team and staff meals on shift.

Formación

• Previous kitchen/hospitality experience an advantage
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness awareness
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays

Responsabilidades

• Washing pots, pans, utensils, and crockery during and after service
• Keep kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment clean and sanitised
• Assist chefs with basic food prep (peeling, chopping, portioning) as needed
• Receive and store deliveries correctly (stock rotation, cold storage, dry goods)
• Manage waste and recycling in line with kitchen procedures
• Maintain cleanliness in line with HACCP and food safety standards
• Support the wider kitchen team during busy service periods

Location: Nove, Malahide, Co. Dublin

Reports to: Head Chef / Sous Chef

About the Role

Nove is looking for a reliable, hard-working Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team. You'll play a key role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly - supporting the chefs, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring service flows without a hitch.

Key Responsibilities

• Washing pots, pans, utensils, and crockery efficiently during and after service
• Keeping kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment clean and sanitised
• Assisting chefs with basic food prep (peeling, chopping, portioning) as needed
• Receiving and storing deliveries correctly (stock rotation, cold storage, dry goods)
• Managing waste and recycling in line with kitchen procedures
• Maintaining cleanliness in line with HACCP and food safety standards
• Supporting the wider kitchen team during busy service periods

  Requirements

  • Previous kitchen or hospitality experience an advantage but not essential
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in cleanliness
  • Good team player with a positive, flexible attitude
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
  • Basic food safety awareness (HACCP training a plus, or willingness to complete)
