Job summary

Freeburn Transport Ltd. is seeking a motivated Junior Transport Planner to join our growing team in Ireland.

You will work with experienced planners to coordinate daily transport activities, plan efficient delivery and collection schedules, and communicate with drivers and customers to keep operations safe, efficient and on time. Key responsibilities include ensuring efficient transport planning, providing updates, assisting with daily operations, and allocating vehicles and drivers.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving abilities and practical thinking.

• Previous experience in transport/logistics or admin is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Help ensure transport is planned efficiently, taking account of time, distance, vehicle capacity and customer requirements.
• Provide updates to customers and colleagues regarding delivery and collection times.
• Take on additional responsibilities as your knowledge and experience develop.
• Assist with the planning and coordination of daily transport operations.
• Help allocate vehicles and drivers to planned routes and jobs.
• Monitor deliveries, collections and vehicle movements throughout the day.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers and internal teams.
