Job summary

Transport Insights is seeking a Senior Transport Planner in Dublin, Ireland. You will apply transport planning expertise to deliver advice across active travel, data analytics, and transport modelling within a fast-paced consultancy environment.

The role requires 5+ years in transport planning, client engagement, and project leadership. A driving license is desirable, and a flexible, proactive approach is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific or related subject is essential.
• Master’s level qualification in transport planning or equivalent is desirable.
• Working towards Programme and Project Management practitioner is desirable.
• Working towards professional chartership such as TPP or Chartered Engineer is desirable.

We offer a wide range of transport planning related services to clients in public and private sectors including active travel and sustainable mobility, data analytics, feasibility and optioneering studies, parking analysis, public transport planning, traffic and transport assessments, transport appraisal, and transport modelling.

Our projects require a broad range of skills and the ability to deliver quality work within a fast-moving and deadline-driven environment. We are now seeking to recruit a Senior Transport Planner to work within our Infrastructure and Development Business Unit.

The candidate should have experience working within a consultancy environment, and a proven track record of supporting development and/ or infrastructure schemes from initial concept, through subsequent feasibility and planning stages. The candidate should also be self-motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking and flexible, while also performing effectively in a position of responsibility. Qualifications

• A bachelors degree in a scientific or related subject (essential)
• A masters level qualification in transport planning or equivalent (desirable)
• Working towards Programme and Project Management practitioner (desirable)
• Working towards professional chartership, such as the Transport Planning Professional (TPP) qualification or Chartered Engineer (desirable).

Experience

• A minimum of five years' relevant experience in transport planning or closely related subject, predominantly within a consultancy environment
• A minimum of two years' project management and client engagement experience
• A proven track record of delivery at project level.
