Job summary

SSA Consulting Group in Galway is seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join a supportive commercial team. You will work closely with Senior QS on pre- and post-contract duties and gain hands-on experience across a range of construction projects.

This role offers a clear development path, exposure to multiple sectors, and strong training within a well-established Irish contractor.

Qualifications

• BSc / MSc degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Graduate to 2+ years Quantity Surveying experience.
• Previous contractor experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Strong communication and numerical skills.
• Motivated to develop within a commercial construction environment.
• Valid working rights within Ireland / Europe.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside Senior Quantity Surveyors to gain hands-on experience across all commercial aspects of construction projects.
• Exposure to pre- and post-contract duties, with opportunities to take on more responsibility as experience develops.
• Assist with cost planning, procurement, and financial reporting for projects.
• Collaborate with the commercial team to support project delivery and value management.

SSA is recruiting a Junior Quantity Surveyor on behalf of an established building contractor for a position based in Galway.

About the role:

This is an excellent opportunity for a Junior Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their career within a supportive and experienced commercial team. You will work alongside Senior Quantity Surveyors and gain hands-on experience across all commercial aspects of construction projects.

The role will provide exposure to both pre and post-contract duties, with plenty of opportunity to take on additional responsibility as your experience develops.
