Job summary

Elk Recruitment is seeking a motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing client team in Louth. You will prepare cost estimates, budgets, tender documents, and bills of quantities for diverse projects, while supporting procurement and contract management activities.

The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying or related field, a full driving licence, and strong numeracy. Proficiency with CostX, Bluebeam and Excel is desirable. On-site position with opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Full driver’s licence required.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal guidelines.
• Strong numeracy and financial management skills.
• Proficiency in CostX, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Preparing cost estimates and budgets for new and existing projects.
• Preparing tender documents, contracts, budgets, and bills of quantities.
• Assisting in contractor selection and procurement strategies.
• Managing contracts and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with legal and project requirements.
• Monitoring project progress and prepare reports for clients and stakeholders.
• Tracking project expenditures and analyse variances.
• Preparing interim and final payment applications and valuations.
• Updating budgets to reflect changes in scope or design.
• Preparing and negotiate final accounts, ensuring accurate reflection of costs and project outcomes.
