Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is seeking an Irish-based Health & Safety professional to support project and operational teams nationwide. You will implement safety systems, conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with legislation, while driving a strong safety culture across sites.

The role requires a minimum of 1 year in construction H&S, a Level 7+ qualification in H&S, and a full driving licence. Strong communication and proactive detail orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree/diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (minimum Level 7).
• Full driving license.
• 1+ years' construction health & safety experience.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and construction practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive approach and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively with people at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide Health & Safety advice and support to project and operational teams.
• Assist with the implementation and monitoring of the Group Safety Management System.
• Ensure risk assessments and safety procedures are effectively managed and communicated.
• Monitor lifting operations, temporary works, inductions, fire safety and emergency procedures.
• Support accident and incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Participate in Health & Safety committees and training initiatives.
• Identify risks to employees, contractors and third parties and ensure suitable controls are in place.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and industry best practice.
• Develop strong working relationships with Directors, Project Managers and site teams.
• Report on Health & Safety performance and contribute to safety culture improvements.
