Job summary

Search Talent is partnering with a leading Irish construction company to recruit an experienced Health & Safety Advisor. You will join a collaborative team dedicated to safer workplaces on landmark projects across Ireland and operate closely with site and project management teams.

With a minimum of 3 years in a H&S role within construction, you will provide practical advice, coaching and support to operational teams to ensure safe, compliant project delivery and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a Health & Safety role within the construction industry.
• Excellent knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation and best practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert Health & Safety advice across live construction projects.
• Support site management teams with implementation of Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Carry out site inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
• Assist in developing, reviewing and implementing risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Monitor lifting operations, temporary works, permit systems, inductions, fire safety and emergency procedures.
• Lead and support accident and incident investigations, identifying root causes and preventative measures.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through coaching, mentoring and engagement with project teams.
• Participate in safety committee meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure risks to employees, subcontractors and third parties are effectively managed.
• Produce regular Health & Safety reports for senior management.
• Build strong working relationships with Directors, Project Managers, Site Managers and subcontractors.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a Health & Safety role within the construction industry.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• A proactive approach with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Full driving licence.
