Job summary

Global Professional Consultants Ireland is looking for a Health & Safety Advisor with 4+ years of experience for a large residential project in South Dublin. The successful candidate will carry out safety inspections, produce risk assessments, and ensure compliance.

Applicants must have relevant qualifications and experience working for a main contractor. The package includes a competitive salary of €65,000 – €75,000, a fully expensed company vehicle, and excellent career prospects.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience as a Health & Safety Advisor on construction projects in Ireland or the UK.
• Experience working for a main contractor on large building projects.
• Fluent in English and eligible to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out safety inspections and producing risk assessments.
• Reviewing and updating Company Risk Assessments and Safety Statement.
• Investigating and reporting accidents, incidents and near-misses.
• Reviewing sub-contractors’ Safety Statements and Compliance.

Health & Safety Advisor (Construction)

Health and Safety Advisor with 4+ years’ experience required for a Tier 1 Main Building Contractor to work on a large scale residential project in South Dublin. The successful Health and Safety Officer will have worked for a main contractor before ideally on large building projects. Our client has a great reputation for looking after their staff and provide top salaries and packages.

Role

• Carrying out safety inspections and producing risk assessments
• Regularly review and update Company Risk Assessments, Safe Operating Procedures and Safety Statement
• Investigate, record and report accidents, incidents and near-misses promptly, ensuring any corrective actions are implemented without delay
• Review sub-contractors’ Safety Statements and Safety Compliance

Requirements

• Relevant Health and Safety Qualification /Diploma or higher.
• 4 years+ working as a Health & Safety Advisor on construction projects in Ireland or the UK.
• Must be proactive and be able to work as part of a team.
• Strong leadership skills and able to take the initiative.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must speak fluent English and be eligible to work in Ireland.
• Strong IT skills.
