Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is sourcing a Junior Health & Safety Advisor for a Dublin City Centre role with a respected Irish-owned contractor. The position emphasizes safety leadership across major residential and commercial projects, leveraging a strong safety culture.

You will support project teams, contribute to safety management systems, and coordinate risk assessments and training. A relevant qualification and 1+ years' site experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree/diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (minimum Level 7).
• Full drivers license.
• 1+ years' construction Health & Safety experience.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and construction practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach.
• Ability to work effectively with people at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide Health & Safety advice and support to project and operational teams.
• Assist with the implementation and monitoring of the Group Safety Management System.
• Ensure risk assessments and safety procedures are effectively managed and communicated.
• Monitor areas including lifting operations, temporary works, inductions, fire safety and emergency procedures.
• Support accident and incident investigations and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
• Participate in Health & Safety committees and training initiatives.
• Identify risks to employees, contractors and third parties and ensure suitable controls are in place.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and industry best practice.
• Develop strong working relationships with Directors, Project Managers and site teams.
• Report on Health & Safety performance and contribute to the continuous improvement of the company's safety culture.

Key Responsibilities
