Glanua is seeking a Junior Civil Estimator based at our South Regional Office, Ballincollig, Co. Cork. You will support the Estimating and Commercial teams in preparing competitive bids for civil and water infrastructure projects.

This role suits a graduate or early-career professional looking to develop estimating, commercial and tender management skills within a growing engineering and construction business. Training and career development are emphasised.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate or early-career Civil Engineer, Quantity Surveyor or construction professional seeking to develop estimating and commercial skills.

Aufgaben

• Assist Estimating team in preparing competitive civil engineering tenders.
• Review drawings, specifications, schedules and tender documentation.
• Assist with quantity take-offs and measurement of civil works.
• Prepare and maintain pricing schedules and cost build-ups.
• Obtain and review quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Assist with commercial analysis of subcontractor and supplier prices.
• Support tender submissions and related documentation.
• Identify project risks, assumptions, exclusions and opportunities.
• Maintain tender trackers, pricing information and records.
• Liaise with Design, Engineering, Procurement and Project Delivery teams.
• Prepare tender queries and clarification requests.
• Support bid programmes and resource requirements.
• Assist with cash flow and project cost forecasts.
• Develop understanding of contract requirements and change control.
• Support monthly commercial reports and project cost information.
• Assist with subcontractor payment applications and documentation.
• Maintain accurate estimating and tender documentation.
• Ensure work is completed on time and to tender deadlines.
