Job summary

Mercury invites applications for a Junior Cost Controller in Leixlip, Co. Kildare. You will support material, subcontractor and labour cost reporting, and assist SAP reporting to keep projects on budget.

Qualifications

• PC literate with competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
• Must have good Excel skills
• 1 - 2 years experience
• Experience in the construction or engineering industry advantage but not essential
• SAP experience advantage but not essential as full training will be given
• Excellent telephone manner
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure
• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
• Pride in the quality and presentation of work

Responsibilities

• Material management: Reporting on order values, costs to date, costs to go on a weekly basis
• Analysis of material reports and issue action requirement to relevant people
• Managing material orders for Tools
• Subcontractors: Reporting on subcontract order values, costs to date, % of works complete, costs to go on a weekly basis
• Issue subcontractor planned payments to accounts on a monthly basis
• Labour: Reports on hours spent per week and cumulatively on all projects
• Other SAP reporting as requested
• Ability to liaise and manage all site paperwork
