Job summary

Design Build Search is recruiting a Senior Cost Manager to lead cost management on office fit-out projects from inception through completion. You will prepare cost plans, track budgets, analyze bids, and report costs clearly to clients while managing changes.

The role ensures final accounts are closed properly and standards/regulations are met. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity surveying and 7+ years’ experience in cost proposals for large corporate projects,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity surveying.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience developing project cost proposals for multiple construction projects simultaneously for large corporate clients.
• Experience of project cost proposal development and cost management for projects with a technical engineering content is a distinct advantage.
• Experience of project cost proposal development and cost management for projects in a large semiconductor manufacturing environment is a distinct advantage.
• Ability to manage multiple work assignments simultaneously, manage multiple or conflicting priorities, and handle a high-pressure working environment.
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Excellent numerical, commercial, and financial acumen.
• Strong written and verbal English language skills
• Advanced Excel skills with good Word & PowerPoint. Working knowledge of Microsoft Project.

Design Build Search are working with a global real estate company who have an opportunity for Senior Cost the Manager. The successful applicant will be involved delivering cost management on live projects (Fit-out). This position is a key hire, and the successful applicant will be involved in the strategic growth of the business.

Sectors/Projects:

Minimum:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity surveying.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience of developing project cost proposals for multiple construction projects simultaneously for large corporate clients.

• Assist in setting up clear processes and templates for the Irish cost management team
• Assist in the develop new services like reinstatement cost assessments, lifecycle costing, carbon accounting, feasibility studies, and sustainability cost advice
• Work with our UK cost management colleagues to learn from their experience and share best practices
• Help train and develop other team members in cost management
