Job summary

ProSource Group is assisting a fast-growing international construction business in appointing a Financial Controller to own the finance function across Ireland, the UK and Europe.

The role covers monthly statements, general ledger, tax reporting, budgeting and cash flow, with exposure to senior management and intercompany accounting. The ideal candidate is ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with construction sector experience, strong Excel and ERP skills, and a proactive, commercially minded mindset.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with active membership
• Experience as Financial Controller or senior finance role
• Experience in construction/engineering or related industry
• Strong month-end and year-end reporting skills
• Experience with UK VAT and CIS compliance
• Budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management expertise
• Commercially minded with strong analytical skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced growth environment
• Proficient in Excel and ERP/project accounting systems

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver accurate monthly financial statements
• Manage general ledger, reconciliations and cash flow

Are you a Qualified Accountant ready to take ownership of the finance function within a fast-growing international construction business?

We are working with a Construction sector client who are looking to appoint an experienced Financial Controller to support the continued growth of the business across Ireland, the UK and Europe.

The Role

This is a hands-on Financial Controller position with significant exposure to the wider business and senior management team.

• Preparing and delivering accurate monthly financial statements
• Managing the general ledger, reconciliations and cash flow
• Overseeing invoice controls and approvals
• Managing VAT, RCT, CIS and other statutory tax reporting
• Leading the annual budgeting and forecasting process
• Reviewing actual performance against budget and identifying areas for improvement
• Maintaining strong financial controls and risk management processes
• Supporting external audits and implementing recommendations
• Managing intercompany accounting and reconciliations
• Providing financial analysis to support investment and business decisions
• Driving improvements across finance processes and systems

What were looking for

• Previous Financial Controller or senior finance experience
• Experience within construction, engineering or a related industry
• Strong knowledge of month-end, year-end and financial reporting
