Job summary

Hollybank Trustees Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Estimator for a permanent, on-site role in Galway, with base office in Loughrea. The position focuses on developing detailed mechanical estimates for water, wastewater, or construction projects, ensuring cost accuracy and adherence to standards.

The candidate will participate in tender preparation, risk assessment, and procurement planning, supported by five or more years in mechanical estimating and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical estimating (water/wastewater/construction sectors).
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed and accurate mechanical estimates from drawings and specifications.
• Ensure estimates reflect realistic risk levels and company guidelines.
• Contribute to tender preparation and procurement planning.
• Prepare staff schedules for tenders using insights from successful projects.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mechanical engineering methods and cost drivers.
