Job summary

Mercury is seeking a Junior BIM Engineer to join our Dublin team at Ballycoolin Business Park. You will produce 3D construction models from base information, generate GA drawings and detailing sheets, and support clash coordination across mechanical and electrical services.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years in BIM or engineering, strong IT skills, and the ability to work both in a team and on their own initiative. Travel to sites in Ireland and abroad may be required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ experience in a BIM or Engineering environment.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Excellent negotiation, problem solving and decision‑making skills.
• Excellent IT skills, including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Produce 3D construction models from base information – PID’s, Scan of facility and Cloud data.
• Production of GA’s and detailing sheets.
• Production of 3D design drawings, prefabrication isometrics and details.
• Provision of construction detailing on the systems to enable the automatic production of isometrics and BOM.
• Design and detailing of services support systems.
• The production of builders works schedules and associated drawings.
• Development of 3D co‑ordinated services and structure layouts for clash control.
• Clash management on all systems.
• Ensure integration of models into federated model for overall co‑ordination.
• Development of mechanical & electrical systems and designs, co‑ordinated building services layouts, management of drawing registers and standards.
• Development of models and reports in line with project scheduling requirements.
• Problem solving and resolution of co‑ordination and design road blocks.
• Adherence to Mercury’s CAD and BIM manuals and processes.
• Collaboration with other trades & tool managers and project managers.
• Assistance in the overall development of the BIM protocols and systems.
• Liaison with Mercury site staff in interpreting and amending models.
• Travel to sites (both in Ireland and abroad) may be required.
• Attend project meeting as required, protecting Mercury’s interests as required.
• Field surveying and site verification.
• Remain fully up to date with the drawing management.
• Complete material procurement schedules.
• Ensure compliance and adherence to the Clients ER and EIR’s.
• Ensure compliance and adherence to Mercury’s EHS Policies and systems.
• Ensure QA/QC compliance.
• All other duties associated with this role.
