Job summary

Jones Engineering in Ireland is seeking a BIM Detailer/Engineer to join our Leixlip office. You will develop detailed 3D BIM models for mechanical systems, coordinate with architects, structural engineers and trades, and ensure models align with BEP and project standards.

You will use AutoCAD, Plant 3D and Navisworks to detect clashes, produce 2D drawings from 3D models, and support junior engineers. A collaborative, detail‑driven mindset and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with BIM workflows and BEP adherence.
• Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and resolve clashes.
• Strong attention to detail in modelling and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D BIM models for mechanical systems (HVAC, piping) and prepare 2D drawings.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and project stakeholders to resolve conflicts.
• Use Navisworks to identify clashes before construction and ensure BIM integrity.
• Produce constructible BIM output and support BEP compliance.
• Provide technical support to junior team members and participate in meetings.
