Job summary

Global Professional Consultants in Ireland is seeking a Civil BIM Technician with 3+ years’ experience to join a growing engineering team. You will produce coordinated BIM models and technical drawings across a varied civil portfolio and support design delivery.

Applicants should be proficient in Revit, Civil 3D and AutoCAD, understand ISO 19650, and work to internal BIM standards. The role offers exposure to international projects and a supportive environment with ongoing CPD.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience producing BIM models and technical drawings in civil/structural environments.
• Proficiency with Revit, Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with BIM standards and ISO 19650.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage accurate 3D BIM models with full cross-disciplinary coordination.
• Prepare detailed 2D drawings, layouts and schedules from BIM models.
• Adhere to internal BIM standards and workflows for consistency.
• Assist in clash detection and resolve coordination issues between civil, structural and MEP models.

Job description

A Civil BIM Technician with 3+ years’ experience is required to join a growing engineering consultancy delivering projects across Ireland and internationally. The successful candidate will play a central role in producing coordinated BIM models and technical drawings across a varied portfolio of civil engineering projects. This consultancy invests strongly in its people and offers a supportive team environment with access to the latest design tools and technology.

Projects Include

• Residential and apartment developments
• Commercial and mixed-use schemes
• International engineering collaborations
• Projects spanning from €5m to €100m+ in value

Responsibilities

• Build and manage accurate 3D BIM models for civil engineering projects, ensuring full coordination across all relevant disciplines.
• Prepare detailed 2D drawings, layouts and schedules from BIM models to support design and construction delivery.
• Adhere to and promote internal BIM standards and workflows to maintain consistency and quality across all project deliverables.
• Support clash detection exercises and assist in resolving coordination issues between civil, structural and MEP models.

Requirements

• A qualification in Engineering Technology, Drafting, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3+ years’ experience producing BIM models and technical drawings within a civil or structural engineering environment.
• Proficiency in Revit, Civil 3D and AutoCAD with a good working knowledge of BIM standards and project workflows.
• Understanding of model coordination, data management and relevant industry standards, including ISO 19650.
