Job summary

We are recruiting for multiple Senior Java Developer contract positions to join large-scale enterprise technology projects. These roles are suited to experienced Java developers with 7+ years of commercial software development experience, ideally gained within complex enterprise environments.

Java Developers (Multiple Positions)
Rate: €350 - €385 per day
Location: Dublin

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain enterprise Java applications.
• Build scalable backend services and REST APIs.
• Develop high-quality, maintainable and well-tested code.
• Work with Spring and Spring Boot based applications.
• Contribute to application design and technical decision-making.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application and production issues.
• Work closely with developers, QA, DevOps and business teams.
• Participate in code reviews and support engineering best practices.
• Work within Agile development teams across the full software development lifecycle.

Required Experience

• 7+ years' commercial Java development experience.
• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Good understanding of microservices architectures.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented development and software design principles.
• Experience with Git and modern source control practices.
• Exposure to automated testing and CI/CD environments.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Experience

Experience with some of the following would be advantageous:

• Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Docker and Kubernetes.
• Kafka or other messaging technologies.
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or similar.
• NoSQL databases.
• Enterprise application development within financial services, public sector or other large-scale environments.

There are multiple contract positions available, with rates ranging from €350 to €450 per day depending on experience and level.
