Job summary

Iron Mountain Incorporated in Cork, Ireland, is seeking a detail-oriented Computer Technician to join our IT & Test Engineering team. You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise hardware and software systems while developing automation scripts to support IT operations.

The role requires hands-on experience with hardware, software architectures, and database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server), plus scripting in Python and Bash. Location is on site in Cork.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in IT Support, Computer Technician, or Test Engineering environment for enterprise systems.
• Experience with enterprise hardware, software architectures, and database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server).
• Hands-on scripting and automation using Python and Bash.
• Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences.
• Relevant degree in IT/CS or equivalent practical experience / certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+).

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain enterprise hardware and software systems to ensure reliability.
• Provide technical support and resolve complex issues through systematic debugging.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain automation scripts to streamline internal processes.
• Administer, maintain, and support relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server).
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth IT & Test operations.
• Document processes clearly and prepare presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Maintain high reliability, accountability, and compliance with standards.
