Job summary

MPG Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for a well established Irish company in their search for an IT Support Engineer to join their team. The role blends support and project work, with a focus on keeping desktop, server and network systems running smoothly for a busy organisation.

You’ll diagnose hardware and software faults, manage desktop and mobile devices, support Office 365 and end-user security, and contribute to IT strategy and operational planning to improve service delivery.

Qualifications

• Primary degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years' experience in a busy IT environment, incl. ICT administration
• Strong knowledge of PC hardware/software, mobile devices, Windows Server/VMware, network troubleshooting, Office 365, and print management
• Advanced Windows OS and enterprise security knowledge

Responsibilities

• Take on a mix of support and project work, monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks, diagnosing hardware/software faults, and helping keep the wider business running smoothly.
• Desktop & mobile device management, incl. image creation and deployment
• Implementation and support of security endpoint solutions (AV, anti-malware, encryption)
• Advising and supporting the wider business on desktop/mobile tech
• Print management administration and troubleshooting
• Testing and evaluating new hardware/software
• Contributing to IT strategy and operational planning, with a focus on end-user support
