Job summary

Macfarlane Packaging seeks a Business Development Manager for Ireland to expand market presence, manage a €2M+ turnover territory, and develop new customer relationships. The role involves field-based activity, audits, proposals, and closing deals to ensure smooth onboarding.

You’ll spend time networking, calling on prospects, and collaborating with marketing to drive opportunities while maintaining strong margins and delivering excellent account management across Dublin and Northern Ireland.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years in a client acquisition-focused, B2B field/external sales role with a proven track record.
• Experience in packaging related sales and understanding technical specifications is desirable.
• Strong consultative sales approach with negotiation and closing skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive business growth by developing and implementing a sales plan for your territory.
• Negotiate commercial terms and identify opportunities to maximise profitability.
• Engage with decision-makers through networking, cold-calling, and audits to uncover cross-selling.
• Collaborate with regional teams to ensure smooth onboarding and high service standards.
• Utilise CRM tools to track leads, manage the sales pipeline, and support proposals.
