The Panel is seeking an experienced Investment Accountant to join a high-performing finance team. This role focuses on delivering accurate accounting records and robust financial reporting while supporting business decision-making.

You will work in a collaborative environment, ensuring data integrity and contributing to process improvements. The ideal candidate has audit training and PQE in financial services, with strong Excel and accounting systems proficiency.

Qualifications

• Ideally audit trained with 5 year PQE in financial services, ideally investment management.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and reporting processes.
• Ability to work with large volumes of data and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyse, and maintain accurate accounting records and financial reports in line with policies and standards.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting requirements with accuracy and timeliness.
• Review transactions and reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with finance and wider teams to support reporting needs and queries.
• Assist in developing and enhancing financial reporting processes and controls.
• Contribute to continuous improvement to increase efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Ensure integrity and quality of financial data across reporting systems.

As Financial Reporting Accountant you will play a key role in delivering timely and accurate financial information, supporting business decision-making, and maintaining strong financial controls. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to enhance reporting quality, drive process improvements, and ensure the integrity of financial data in a collaborative and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyse, and maintain accurate accounting records and financial reports in line with company policies and reporting standards
• Support the delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting requirements, ensuring information is accurate, reliable, and timely
• Review financial transactions and reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies
• Collaborate with finance and wider business teams to support reporting requirements and address accounting-related queries
• Assist in the development and enhancement of financial reporting processes, controls, and procedures
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
• Ensure the integrity and quality of financial data across reporting systems

The candidate

• Ideally Audit trained with 5 year PQE in financial services ideally investment management.
• Previous experience in an accounting, financial reporting, or similar finance-focused role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and reporting processes.
• Excellent attention to detail with a highly organised and analytical approach.
• Comfortable working with large volumes of financial data and maintaining accurate records.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify areas for improvement.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Proficiency in accounting and reporting systems, along with advanced Excel skills, would be advantageous.
