Job summary

Natus Medical Incorporated in Gort, Co. Galway is seeking an ambitious Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team. The role offers exposure to European finance operations, month-end reporting, VAT compliance, audits, and financial analysis across multiple entities.

We are looking for a proactive self-starter who enjoys working with numbers, takes ownership of responsibilities, and is motivated to grow professionally. Hybrid arrangement with two days onsite per week.

Qualifications

• 3-4+ years experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end processes.
• Experience with VAT reporting and reconciliations.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Excel and financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close activities across multiple European entities
• Prepare journals, reconciliations, and financial reports
• Assist with VAT, VIES, Intrastat and other statutory reporting requirements
• Support internal and external audit processes
• Perform financial analysis and control checks to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Investigate and resolve accounting queries
• Assist with process improvements and finance projects
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures and financial controls

We are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team in Gort, Co. Galway.

Location: Gort, Co. Galway
Hybrid: 2 days onsite per week

The role offers exposure to European finance operations, month-end reporting, VAT compliance, audits, and financial analysis across multiple legal entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support month-end close activities across multiple European entities
• Prepare journals, reconciliations, and financial reports
• Assist with VAT, VIES, Intrastat and other statutory reporting requirements
• Support internal and external audit processes
• Perform financial analysis and control checks to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Investigate and resolve accounting queries
• Assist with process improvements and finance projects
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures and financial controls

About You

• 3-4+ years' experience in an accounting or finance environment
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end processes
• Experience with VAT reporting and reconciliations
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial systems

Desirable

• Experience in a multinational or manufacturing environment
• Exposure to European legal entities and cross-border reporting
• Knowledge of Intrastat, VIES and audit requirements
• Part-qualified or qualified ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent
• Experience with Oracle EBS or similar ERP systems
