Job summary

Boyden is supporting the appointment of an Interim Financial Controller in Ireland. The role reports to the Managing Director and leads the finance function, ensuring robust financial controls, timely reporting, cash management and commercial insight for the leadership team.

The successful candidate will oversee month-end reporting, management accounts, board packs, profitability analysis and budgeting, while guiding a small finance team and driving system improvements.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with at least eight years’ post-qualified experience.
• Experience in manufacturing/retail/high-volume operational environment.
• Strong technical accounting and financial control expertise; preparing management accounts and board packs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end reporting, management accounts, and board reporting.
• Perform profitability analysis, cash forecasting and cash management.
• Manage credit control, balance-sheet management, budgeting, payroll, tax and statutory compliance.
• Lead a small finance team; strengthen systems and processes.
• Deliver finance projects and provide commercially focused advice to leadership.
