Job summary

Aon Corporation in Dublin is seeking an Insurance Associate Manager to join its Captive and Insurance Management team. This hybrid role combines office work with virtual arrangements, delivering underwriting and claims services for a regulated client portfolio.

The role emphasizes technical client interaction, data analysis, and collaboration across Actuarial, Finance and Compliance functions, supported by strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years’ experience in insurance or captive management, broking, underwriting, claims or corporate insurance management.
• Fluent written and spoken English; other European languages are advantageous.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Third-level qualification and/or partial or full professional insurance qualification is desirable.
• Willingness to collaborate with cross-functional teams including Actuarial, Finance and Compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage underwriting, insurance and claims services for a portfolio of clients with accurate, timely delivery.
• Provide technical expertise and communicate effectively with clients.
• Coordinate with Brokers, Insurers, External Claim Managers, Auditors and Actuaries.
• Collaborate with other functions, e.g., Actuarial, Finance and Compliance.
• Prepare and analyse premium and claims Bordereaux; prepare premium/claims reports for Board.
• Attend and support the client lead at the captive insurance company Board Meetings.

What the day will look like

Manage underwriting, insurance and claims services for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accurate, efficient delivery and timely completion of all deliverables.

• Provide technical expertise and communicate effectively with clients.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

• Attention to detail and working to deadlines
• Microsoft Office proficiency (particularly Excel), and a commitment to learning.
• Third-level qualification and/or partial or full professional insurance qualification is desirable.
• At least three years’ experience in insurance or captive management, broking, underwriting, claims or corporate insurance management.
• Understanding of insurance and reinsurance regulatory and compliance requirements would be useful.
