Job summary

The Rehab Group in Kilkenny is seeking an Instructor to deliver QQI Levels 3 and 4 certification and provide training across the PC Maintenance and Networking programme. The role supports learners with additional needs and helps them explore future education and employment options.

The role requires a third level qualification and a minimum QQI Level 6 Train the Trainer qualification, with experience in a specialised training environment.

Qualifications

• Third level qualification in any area such as employment, business, education, training, social care, retail, logistics.
• A relevant pedagogical/training qualification - Train the Trainer QQI Level 6 as a minimum.
• Experience of working in a specialised training environment.
• Experience in delivery of QQI level 4 certifications.
• Experience in developing and delivering training would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide systematic training according to specified curricula, with responsibility for the instruction of a number of modules for QQI Levels 4 certification.
• Facilitate participants in developing the knowledge, skills and confidence necessary to secure progression outcomes.

Job Title

Instructor (VT instructor for 21hrs p/wk on a Level 4 General Learning Programme and 15 hrs p/wk on a HSE funded bridging and transitioning non-certified programme Evolve.)

Specific Purpose Contract, 36 hours a week

Salary starting from €36,455.15 with 14 increments to €61,581.27 per annum, based on qualifications and experience

Job Purpose

The instructor is responsible for the training and development of Learners in accordance with the agreed local training programme specifications, together with the day-to-day running and maintenance of all aspects of the training programmes. The instructor assists Learners with additional support needs in exploring their future career and educational direction and in making realistic vocational choices with a view to progressing to further education/employment

The instructor will be responsible for all aspects of module delivery, co-ordination and facilitation in respect of the PC Maintenance and Networking programme.
