Job summary

Haven Education Centre in Birr, Co. Offaly, is recruiting for a Part Time Afterschool Co-Ordinator to support children's learning, development and wellbeing after school hours.

You will work with a friendly team in a child-centred setting, delivering play-based activities aligned with our Montessori-inspired approach, and helping children settle, learn and thrive. We offer a supportive workplace with flexible hours (20 hours/week, 1.30pm–5.30pm) and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Minimum QQI Level 5 Qualification in Early Years Care and Education or Equivalent.
• Experience in afterschool setting is desirable.
• Good communication and team-working skills.

Responsibilities

• Support afterschool learning through play-based activities.
• Ensure a safe, caring environment for every child.
• Assist with homework and transitions after school.
• Monitor and record children’s progress with colleagues.
• Collaborate with team to support curriculum and routines.
