Job summary

Primark is seeking an Insight Analyst to join its Applied Insights & Analytics team. You will transform data into actionable insights across Trading, Buying, Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Retail Operations to drive commercial value.

In this hybrid role, you’ll work with stakeholders and data teams to support business growth, using strong analytical skills and commercial awareness to deliver meaningful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in analytics, insights, reporting, or commercial analysis within retail or consumer-focused environments.
• Strong SQL skills and the ability to query, analyse, and interpret data to support business decisions.
• Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools for dashboards and reporting.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to connect data to sales growth and operational metrics.
• Excellent communication and data storytelling to present findings to diverse stakeholders.
• Proven stakeholder management and collaboration to deliver actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Deliver impactful business insights by partnering with stakeholders to understand commercial challenges and translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Analyze and interpret complex datasets using SQL and reporting tools to uncover trends and opportunities across multiple functions.
• Create data-driven narratives with visualisations and concise recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Develop and enhance reporting solutions, including dashboards, scorecards, and management packs, focused on measurable value.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying manual processes and opportunities to streamline reporting and insight delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Data & Analytics teams to maintain data quality and trusted outcomes.
