Job summary

Engage People Recruitment in Galway is seeking an IT Project Manager to deliver technically focused projects across infrastructure, systems and technology change. This hands-on role requires a strong understanding of IT environments and experience managing projects such as system implementations, upgrades, migrations or infrastructure change.

The role would suit a Senior IT Business Analyst moving into project management.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years' experience in IT project delivery or a strong Senior IT Business Analyst background.
• Experience delivering projects involving infrastructure, networks, systems or technology change.
• Project management qualification such as PRINCE2, CAPM, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of IT/cloud/system migrations.

Responsibilities

• Manage IT projects from planning through to successful delivery.
• Deliver technology initiatives including implementations, upgrades and migrations.
• Work with technical teams, clients and stakeholders to manage scope, timelines, risks and outcomes.
• Support IT risk, operational resilience and regulatory-related initiatives.

Location: Galway (onsite 3 days a per week)

I am looking for an IT Project Manager to deliver technically focused projects across infrastructure, systems and technology change. This is a hands-on delivery role, suited to someone with a strong understanding of IT environments and experience managing projects such as system implementations, upgrades, migrations or infrastructure change. The role would also suit a Senior IT Business Analyst looking to move further into project management.

THIS IS A PERMANENT ROLE BASED IN GALWAY

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage IT projects from planning through to successful delivery.
• Deliver technology initiatives including implementations, upgrades and migrations.
• Work with technical teams, clients and stakeholders to manage scope, timelines, risks and outcomes.
• Support IT risk, operational resilience and regulatory-related initiatives.
• Produce project plans, status reports, RAID logs and stakeholder updates.
• Assist with IT assessments, gap analysis and risk management activities.

What We're Looking For:

• 2-5 years' experience in IT project delivery or a strong Senior IT Business Analyst background.
• Experience delivering projects involving infrastructure, networks, systems or technology change.
• Good understanding of IT environments and technical infrastructure.
• Proven ability to manage deadlines, deliverables and technical stakeholders.
• Project management qualification such as PRINCE2, CAPM, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience within financial services or another regulated environment.
• Knowledge of DORA, NIS2, CBI guidance or ISO 27001.
• Experience with IT/cloud/system migrations.
• Relevant third-level qualification.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
