Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Dublin/Leinster-based Chiller Service Engineer to provide commissioning, servicing and maintenance of industrial water/air cooled chillers and heat pumps. You will be the primary engineering contact for complex service issues, working mainly with major customers in Pharma, Life Science and High Tech sectors.

Qualifications

• Refrigeration F-GAS 2079 certificate.
• Ammonia experience would be advantageous.
• Trade qualification in Refrigeration, or a qualified industrial electrician willing to cross-train on YORK chillers and heat pumps.
• Safe Pass Card & Manual Handling certificate.
• NFQ Level 5 or equivalent in Refrigeration or related field.
• Experience in service/maintenance and repair of water-cooled and air-cooled chillers.
• Commissioning experience on large ton centrifugal and screw chillers and heat pumps (training provided).
• Experience with major chiller manufacturers such as YORK, Sabroe, Trane, Carrier, Daikin.
• Capable of working without detailed procedures and with limited supervision.
• Full clean Irish driving license.

Responsibilities

• Provide up-to-date site surveys, records and reports to aid quoting of equipment.
• Carry commissioning, servicing, troubleshooting and maintenance of industrial water/air cooled chillers and heat pumps.
• Act as primary contact for technical service issues and resolve complex systems within defined timeframes.
• Work mainly with Leinster region customers in pharma, life sciences and high-tech industries.
• Contribute to health and safety practices and work within a team environment.
