Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Dublin/Leinster-based Chiller Service Engineer to provide commissioning, servicing and maintenance of industrial water/air cooled chillers and heat pumps. You will be the primary engineering contact for complex service issues, working mainly with major customers in Pharma, Life Science and High Tech sectors.

Qualifications

Refrigeration F-GAS 2079 certificate.
Ammonia experience would be advantageous.
Trade qualification in Refrigeration, or a qualified industrial electrician willing to cross-train on YORK chillers and heat pumps.
Safe Pass Card & Manual Handling certificate.
NFQ Level 5 or equivalent in Refrigeration or related field.
Experience in service/maintenance and repair of water-cooled and air-cooled chillers.
Commissioning experience on large ton centrifugal and screw chillers and heat pumps (training provided).
Experience with major chiller manufacturers such as YORK, Sabroe, Trane, Carrier, Daikin.
Capable of working without detailed procedures and with limited supervision.
Full clean Irish driving license.

Responsibilities

Provide up-to-date site surveys, records and reports to aid quoting of equipment.
Carry commissioning, servicing, troubleshooting and maintenance of industrial water/air cooled chillers and heat pumps.
Act as primary contact for technical service issues and resolve complex systems within defined timeframes.
Work mainly with Leinster region customers in pharma, life sciences and high-tech industries.
Contribute to health and safety practices and work within a team environment.

What you will do

You will provide up to date site surveys, records, and reports regarding works completed and actions needed to aid quoting of new or replacement equipment. Your main role is to carry Commissioning, servicing, trouble shooting, and maintenance of Industrial water/air cooled Chillers and Heat pumps.

As a Chiller Service Engineer, you are the primary contact for all technical service issues, accountable for resolving highly complex systems within a set timeframe and according to a defined process, service agreement and customer needs.

You will be working mainly with the company’s largest customers in the Leinster area, predominantly within the foreign direct investment sector of Pharmaceutical, Life science and High Tech Clients.

Health and Safety will be at the forefront of everything you do. Although often working without accompaniment you will be part of a team and contribute towards its success.

What we look for

You will have a Refrigeration F-GAS 2079 Certificate.
Ammonia Experience would be a distinct advantage.
Relevant Trade Qualification in Refrigeration, or A qualified industrial electrician willing to cross train on the York Chiller and heat pumps.
