Occupli Limited is seeking an experienced BER Assessor Trainer to work as an independent contractor in Ireland. The role focuses on training BER assessors with high-quality technical content and practical guidance, aligned with SEAI and QQI requirements.

Deliver engaging training online and in-person, mentor learners, and update materials to reflect current BER standards while supporting the growth of Occupli's BER training resources and services.

Occupli is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable BER Assessor Trainer to work with us on an independent contractor basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced BER professional who is passionate about sharing knowledge, developing people and maintaining high standards across the energy assessment sector.

We are looking for someone who can bring strong technical expertise, practical BER experience and an engaging approach to training in alignment with Seai and QQI requirements.

The Role

As a BER Assessor Trainer, you will support the development of new and existing BER Assessors through high-quality technical training, practical guidance and mentoring.

You will be responsible for helping learners build the knowledge, confidence and practical skills required to undertake accurate, consistent and professional BER assessments.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and practical BER Assessor training, both online and in person as per the prescribed syllabus and Lesson plan.
• Provide clear guidance on BER methodology, assessment procedures and technical requirements as per the SEAI requirements.
• Deliver practical training around property inspections, data collection and assessment.
• Demonstrate best-practice approaches to BER assessments.
• Provide guidance on relevant BER assessment software and tools.
• Use real-world examples and case studies to support learning.
• Assess learner understanding and provide constructive feedback.
• Mentor and support new and developing BER Assessors.
• Identify common assessment errors and provide practical guidance on how to avoid them.
• Keep training content and knowledge up to date with relevant BER requirements and industry developments.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of Occupli's BER training and technical resources.

About You

We're looking for an experienced BER professional who has:

• Significant practical experience as a BER Assessor in Ireland.
• Strong knowledge of the Irish BER system and assessment methodology.
• A good understanding of building construction, energy efficiency and building performance.
• Experience with relevant BER assessment software.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• The ability to explain technical concepts clearly and in an engaging way.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• A genuine interest in coaching, mentoring and developing others.
• Relevant BER and SEAI qualifications and current accreditation/registration, where applicable.

Previous experience delivering BER training, mentoring assessors or undertaking BER quality assurance/auditing would be highly desirable.

The Contractor is free to provide services to, and enter into contracts with, other companies, businesses, or clients during the term of this Agreement, provided that doing so does not create a conflict of interest, interfere with the Contractor’s obligations under this Agreement, or involve the misuse or disclosure of any confidential information belonging to the Company.
