Anthropic is seeking an Incident Response Manager to be the operational backbone for handling incidents. You will ensure the right people, information, and actions are in the room, coordinating across engineering, product, security, legal, and leadership to drive fast, clear, and accountable responses.

You will write runbooks, own communications from internal coordination to public status pages, and lead blameless reviews to prevent recurrence while scaling incident policies as Anthropic grows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of incident management experience
• Experience handling technical product or infrastructure incidents (not only security/trust)
• Ability to create runbooks and processes rather than rely on existing ones
• Strong ownership and decision-making under pressure
• Proven cross-functional collaboration with engineering, security, legal, communications, GTM, and leadership
• Blameless post-incident reviews and remediation focus

Responsabilités

• Build the incident response management function, establishing the processes, tooling, and operational standards that define how we handle incidents at scale
• Serve as an on-call incident commander, driving coordinated response across technical and non-technical stakeholders during incidents of varying severity
• Engage the right people at the right time, bringing order and direction to fast-moving, ambiguous situations
• Own incident communications end-to-end, from real-time internal coordination to external channels like status pages and stakeholder updates
• Participate in blameless incident reviews, contributing operational context and helping drive follow-through on critical remediations
• Partner with engineering teams to develop and maintain incident response policies, procedures, and escalation frameworks
• Partner with engineering, product, security, legal, and go-to-market teams to continuously improve how the organization detects, responds to, and learn from incidents
