Job summary

Positive Futures in Ireland is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist people with learning disabilities, autism or brain injury to live independently and exercise real choice. No formal qualifications required beyond kindness and patience; induction provided.

You’ll help with daily living, personal care, money and community access, always upholding dignity, safety and rights. Full training and ongoing support from a dedicated team are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience providing paid or voluntary care or support.
• Full, valid driving licence (IRL/UK/EU/EEA) required.
• Ability to work with people with learning disabilities, autism or brain injury is essential.

Responsibilities

• Form positive relationships with the person supported and maintain professional boundaries.
• Help with daily living, money management, medication support and community involvement.
• Facilitate safety, dignity and advocacy when needed, and keep accurate records.
