Job summary

Partner Company in Ireland seeks a Senior Accountant - Technical Accounting to own IFRS research, contract assessments, memos, and key reporting activities. You will be involved in month-end close, consolidation, and coordinating with external auditors across a multinational organization.

The role offers exposure to revenue, leases, impairment, provisions, and related parties with opportunities to influence accounting policies and training initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong IFRS knowledge with ability to research and apply standards.
• Experience preparing accounting memos and audit support documentation.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, trial balance reviews, and consolidations.
• Experience collaborating with external auditors in multinational settings.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition under IFRS 15 and lease accounting under IFRS 16.

Responsibilities

• Review contracts and business arrangements for IFRS implications, including IFRS 15 and IFRS 16.
• Research IFRS guidance and prepare accounting memos and position papers.
• Support month-end close through balance reviews and account analysis.
• Prepare and review consolidation entries including intercompany eliminations.
• Coordinate with external auditors during year-end processes and audits.
• Work cross-functionally to understand transactions and evaluate accounting impact.
• Maintain and update accounting policies with evolving standards.
• Develop training materials for finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Contribute to consistent, well-documented accounting practices.
