Job summary

Abbott in Ireland seeks a Senior Accountant to join the RTR team, supporting European markets from the Shared Services Centre in Cherrywood, Co Dublin. You will report to the RTR Manager and work with cross functional teams, driving process improvements and ensuring timely financial close.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years post-qualification experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently while challenging the status quo.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA.
• 2–3 years post-qualification experience, preferably in SSC.
• Experience with change management and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Handle monthly US GAAP close activities.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations and journals for accuracy.
• Lead quarterly Balance Sheet Reviews for divisions/entities.
• Complete SOX controls in line with the control matrix.
• Collaborate with outsourced partners and SSC stakeholders.
• Identify process improvements and drive key projects.
