Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a Technical Coordinator for its Transfer Agency Team. The role combines day‑to‑day operational delivery with technical support, quality oversight and partner development, handling investor and client queries across multiple channels.

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will monitor workflows, provide hands‑on support during peak periods, and mentor colleagues to sustain service levels and regulatory compliance in a hybrid Ireland environment.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge or experience within Transfer Agency, Investor Services, Financial Services Operations or a customer service environment.
• A strong customer focus and commitment to quality, accuracy and positive investor outcomes.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to mentor others, provide constructive feedback and support partner development.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• The confidence to make sound decisions and to elevate appropriate issues in a fast‑paced operational environment.
• Strong attention to detail, risk awareness and an understanding of the importance of documented controls.
• The ability to use operational data and reporting to identify trends, service pressures and improvement opportunities.
• Experience with telephony, workflow or case‑management tools, including MS Dynamics, would be advantageous.
• A collaborative approach and willingness to support change, continuous improvement and cross‑location working.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day FSC team activities and deputise when required.
• Act as subject matter expert and first line of support for complex investor queries.
• Monitor workflow across telephony, MS Dynamics email and written enquiry channels.
• Use reporting to support service‑level monitoring and resource allocation.
• Provide hands‑on support during peak periods and address backlogs.
• Mentor and coach partners with feedback and knowledge sharing.
• Support quality outcomes and targeted coaching with the Team Leader.
• Complete or support email quality controls and process checks.
• Ensure operational controls are understood and followed, including authentication and escalation protocols.
• Identify and escalate complaints, incidents and data protection issues per procedure.
• Coordinate with Dealing, Registration, Settlements, Complaints and other teams on escalated queries.
• Contribute to procedures, knowledge articles and templates to maintain quality practices.
• Support testing and embedding of new processes and system changes.
• Collaborate with India FSC/ISC and local management for cross-location activity.
• Represent FSC at meetings, client visits and change discussions.
• Promote a positive team culture focused on service excellence and inclusion.
