Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking an Associate Consultant within the Transfer Agency Dealing Team. The role provides experienced technical and operational support across day-to-day dealing activities and ownership of assigned clients.

Reporting to the Dealing Manager, you will assist with complex queries, coordinate workflows, and help develop less experienced partners, ensuring accurate reporting and timely issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Experience in Transfer Agency or related financial services.
• Understanding of end-to-end dealing processes.
• Ability to investigate and escalate issues with sound judgement.
• Knowledge of operational risk, controls and escalation requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of assigned clients and support the effective delivery of day-to-day TA Dealing activities.
• Provide operational and technical support to the Dealing team and escalate complex issues.
• Act as escalation point for junior members and offshore partners as appropriate.
• Monitor workflow queues and priorities, identifying outstanding items and capacity concerns.
• Prepare and review accurate client and operational reporting, including cash and register reporting.
• Ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on time within agreed timeframes.
• Maintain up-to-date procedures, checklists and supporting documentation.
• Comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies and control standards.
