Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support the ENW portfolio within our Advisory and Programme Delivery division. You will work with the project and commercial teams to manage budgets, risks, and client expectations on clean, waste-water, and environmental projects.

You will contribute to project governance, review subcontractor decisions, and mentor junior staff while traveling to client sites and MM offices as needed.

Qualifications

• Ideally degree qualified.
• Ability to operate autonomously and within a larger team.
• Excellent IT Skills – Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
• Strong communication including writing reports and presenting.
• Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Flexible approach to work and travel to client sites and MM offices.

Responsibilities

• Commercial management of a project or multiple projects.
• Budget management including month end reporting and variances.
• Risk management and reporting.
• Dispute resolution / avoidance and offering commercial strategy advice.
• Review and recommendation of subcontractor acceptance.
• Assessment of compensation events and monthly payments.
• Commercial audits and mentoring of junior team members.
