Job summary

Designer Group is seeking a motivated Quantity Surveying Graduate to join our Commercial team and gain practical experience across the full project lifecycle on major M&E projects.

You will work alongside senior Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers to develop cost control, procurement, subcontract management, valuations and project reporting, building a long-term career in construction and engineering with a global firm.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• A willingness to learn and develop within a commercial environment.
• Previous construction experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the Quantity Surveying team with project cost control and reporting.
• Assist with the preparation of valuations, applications for payment and cost reports.
• Support the management of subcontractor accounts and payments.
• Assist with reviewing contracts, variations and commercial documentation.
• Support procurement activities and analysis of project costs.
• Assist with tracking project budgets and forecasts.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation.
• Work collaboratively with project, procurement, estimating and finance teams.
