Job summary

Mott MacDonald in Ireland is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our APD team across Cork and Dublin. You will report to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and support commercial management on clean, waste-water and environmental projects, ensuring delivery to time, cost and quality.

The role emphasizes collaboration with client teams, risk and opportunity monitoring, and governance, with a focus on cost control, contracts, and NEC terms.

Qualifications

• Ideally degree qualified and Chartered MRICS or working towards chartered status.
• Ability to operate autonomously and as part of a larger team.
• Excellent IT skills – Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication for reports and client updates.
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and supply chain.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and MM offices.

Responsibilities

• Commercial management of projects, including budgeting and month-end reporting.
• Risk management and reporting; dispute avoidance and resolution.
• Provide commercial strategy advice and assess subcontractor acceptance.
• Assess compensation events and monthly payment applications.
• Conduct commercial audits and mentor junior team members.
