Job summary

Tyndall National Institute in Cork, Ireland, seeks a Maintenance Lead to direct and coordinate maintenance activities for the CiR facilities, ensuring safe, cost-effective operations and high equipment availability. You will drive maintenance strategy, vendor engagement, and KPI tracking.

Essentially, you will lead a multidisciplinary team, develop preventive maintenance plans, and support audits while delivering reliable, compliant operations in a cutting-edge research environment.

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification in a scientific or engineering discipline relevant to semiconductor processing, fabrication and testing.
• Typically 10+ years of hands-on equipment maintenance experience in semiconductor environments.
• Proven track record in installation, project management, maintenance and process support across tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate maintenance activities for CiR facilities.
• Manage PMs, calibrations, and downtime recovery to ensure equipment reliability.
• Develop and track KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, OEE) and manage vendor support.
