Job summary

Tyndall National Institute in Cork is seeking a Maintenance Lead to direct and coordinate all CiR facilities maintenance in a high-tech semiconductor environment. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, manage vendors, and ensure safe, cost-effective operation.

Essential criteria include a third-level engineering or science degree and 10+ years in semiconductor equipment maintenance, with strong leadership and project management skills.

Qualifications

• A third-level qualification in a scientific or engineering discipline relevant to Semiconductor Processing, Fabrication, and Testing, or equivalent experience.
• Proven track record in equipment installation, project management, maintenance, and process support across a wide range of semiconductor tools.
• Hands-on experience with semiconductor processing equipment and related infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and operations for CiR facilities in a safe, cost-effective manner.
• Direct and coordinate a multidisciplinary maintenance team and manage vendor relationships.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance strategies and calibration plans.
• Drive continuous improvement and reliability programs using data such as MTBF and MTTR.
• Own downtime events, coordinate on-site support and escalation as needed.
• Support audits, safety reviews, and KPI tracking for maintenance performance.
