Job summary

H&F Electrical Contractors Limited is seeking an Electrical Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Limerick or Cork with a hybrid working option. You will support commercial management from project commencement through final account, coordinating with project, site, and commercial teams.

The role requires a Degree in Quantity Surveying, 5+ years QS experience in electrical contracting, and strong negotiation and analytical skills. Proficiency in Excel and MS Office is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
• 5+ years QS experience in electrical contracting.
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage project budgets, valuations, cost reports and forecasts.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, payments and final accounts.
• Identify and manage variations, claims and commercial risks.
• Attend commercial meetings and liaise with clients, project teams and subcontractors.
• Support contract negotiations and ensure commercial obligations are met.
• Monitor project progress and programme implications from a commercial perspective.
• Maintain accurate and auditable commercial records and documentation.
• Provide guidance to junior members of the commercial team.
• Contribute to development of H&F's commercial processes and best practices.
