Job summary

H&F Electrical Contractors Ltd is seeking an Electrical Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Limerick or Cork with hybrid working options. You will support commercial management from project start to final account, coordinating with project, site and commercial teams to ensure strong financial performance.

Key duties include budgeting, valuations, variations and final accounts, plus negotiation and risk management.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Economics or similar.
• 5+ years QS experience within electrical contracting.
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
• Experience with valuations, variations, claims and final accounts.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Eligible to work in Ireland.
• Full clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage project budgets, valuations, cost reports and forecasts.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, payments and final accounts.
• Identify and manage variations, claims and commercial risks.
• Attend commercial meetings and liaise with clients, project teams and subcontractors.
• Support contract negotiations and ensure commercial obligations are managed.
• Monitor project progress and programme implications from a commercial perspective.
• Maintain accurate and auditable commercial records and documentation.
• Provide support and guidance to junior members of the commercial team.
• Contribute to the continued development of H&F's commercial processes and best practices.
