Job summary

Stem Recruitment Solutions Ltd invites a skilled Quantity Surveyor for a long-term on-site contractor role in Limerick. You will manage supplier contracts and a range of commercial activities within a dynamic engineering team, ensuring projects meet cost, time and quality targets.

The role focuses on budgets, cost development, tender documents, and effective contractor management for capital projects, with daily administration and detailed cost reporting.

Qualifications

• Have a relevant degree and worked as a QS / Quantity Surveyor for at least 3 years.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent problem-solving with mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Review budgets, advising on cost development and providing oversight on commercial management of capital projects.
• Assist and advise in the preparation of Tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities and schedule of rates.
• Procure pricing and quotations from specialist sub-contractors to assist with delivery of capital projects.
• Monitor contractor costs, valuations, variations and overall commercial performance of contractor costs and project costs.
• Administer contractor orders daily, review costs and report monthly on project costs.
• Prepare work schedules and contractor planning using available resources.
• Attend meetings, monitor work progress and redirect contractors according to project demands.

Quantity Surveyor - Long Term Contractor

Quantity Surveyor - Limerick (On-site, Managing Contracting Companies)

Multi-year contractor role (starting with 2 years)

• Excellent Hourly rate (or Permanent Role if preferred)

We have a great opportunity for an experienced QS / Quantity Surveyor to work straight days, Monday to Friday, on-site in County Limerick

Working with the wider engineering team, you will take ownership for the sites contracting companies, ensuring that work is carried out to the highest standard.
