Job summary

Lidl Ireland is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety professional to drive EHS compliance across stores, warehouses and offices in Ireland and Northern Ireland. You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders, update the EHS system, and support regional teams to meet requirements.

The role requires a third-level qualification in Food Science/Environmental Health or Occupational Health and Safety, strong communication, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Third-level degree or qualification in Food Science/Environmental Health or Occupational Health and Safety
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Excellent attention to detail
• Full driving license is essential

Responsibilities

• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders on matters relating to Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and food safety requirements
• Further developing and update of the EHS Management System
• Supporting Head Office departments and regional management teams to meet their EHS requirements
• Travelling to and from Regional Distribution Centres and Stores
• Carrying out food safety and health and safety inspections, risk assessments & audits as required
• Working on projects to ensure EHS is considered and included to ensure compliance
• Promoting EHS within all departments to ensure a positive EHS culture within Lidl Ireland
