Job summary

Aon Ireland is seeking a Senior Pensions Administrator with strong Defined Benefit expertise to support clients, Trustees and members. This hybrid role focuses on technical administration, clear communication and continuous improvement across DB operations.

You will work with Scheme Administrators, Consultants and internal teams to ensure accurate delivery, provide guidance to members and contribute to process enhancements in a collaborative Wealth environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent understanding of Defined Benefit pensions, including scheme benefits and administration.
• Strong written and oral communication to explain complex concepts clearly.
• High attention to detail with structured, organized work and deadlines.
• Proven ability to build relationships with clients, Trustees and third-party providers.
• Experience driving efficiency and process improvements with solid IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key operational contact for clients and Trustees on DB administration matters, helping to interpret issues, agree solutions and ensure timely, accurate delivery of services.
• Engage directly with Scheme Administrators, Consultants, clients and members, ensuring service excellence and applying Client First approach.
• Proactively identify, investigate and explain benefit, data or process-related queries to support informed client decision making.
• Provide clear summaries, recommendations and practical solutions to clients, Trustees and internal stakeholders.
• Apply rigorous checking, validation and quality control across client deliverables.
• Draft and review client-facing communications to present complex information clearly.
• Provide input to client and Trustee meeting packs, updating partners on member experience and performance.
• Contribute to streamlining and standardising processes to improve client experience and operational consistency.
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate across Scheme Administration, Consultants and GCCs.
