Job summary

Electricity Supply Board (ESB) is seeking a Credit Control Team Leader-Commercial for its Dublin area. The role leads the Commercial Credit Control team within Customer Solutions, ensuring effective debt management and a strong customer experience across commercial accounts.

You will oversee day-to-day activities, drive performance against KPIs, and support governance and continuous improvement initiatives while developing a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in customer operations, credit control, collections or similar environment.
• Experience leading, coaching or mentoring teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across functions.
• Proven ability to manage performance through KPIs, reporting and controls.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven actions.
• Experience with business systems and Excel.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Knowledge of governance, risk and control requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Credit Control professionals, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee day-to-day Credit Control activities across commercial portfolios, delivering collection strategies.
• Monitor KPIs, service levels, and operational targets with corrective actions where needed.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, partners and agencies to support debt recovery.
• Ensure robust controls, governance and compliance, addressing operational risks promptly.
• Analyze performance and debt trends, providing reporting and insights for decisions.
• Lead change initiatives and projects to improve efficiency and outcomes.
